Casterbridge Food Co-operative

Transition towns rely on their community in order to flourish. With a strong emphasis on using local food producers and supporting fairtrade products, Casterbridge Food Co-operative allows its members to shop as part of a collective in order to benefit from wholesale prices and share out delivery costs.

Casterbridge Food Co-operative is open to anyone looking to source food more sustainably. We use a workers co-operative, Essential Trading, from Bristol for our store cupboard items and local suppliers where possible for everything else.

CoOp

How does it work?

1. Contact us for an order form which we can either email or post to you. 2. You will have a set period to place your order along with your payment up to the ‘last orders’ date. 3. Once all payments have cleared we place the order with our supplier. 4. The order is then delivered to a single drop off point and made ready for collection on the ‘collect orders’ date.

Order days:

The beginning of every other month, starting January.
